The printed silk carré “Climbing History” by Fosca’s Batik is a limited and numbered edition reproduction of the original hand-painted artwork on cotton.
It blends the theme of the mountain with the distinctive cracking effect typical of a 16th-century canvas, achieved through the batik technique using extremely fine and repeated applications of wax.
The meticulously drawn hooks and rings give movement to the scarf and evoke the lightness of a climber ascending a peak — in pursuit of a deeper, more intense experience of the landscape and the emotions nature has to offer.
