The women's hand-painted silk stole, "Life between islands", was made by Fosca Tittarelli using the batik technique.
It is a stole dedicated to an unusual exhibition held in London, at the museum spaces of Tate Britain between 2021 and 2022.
This painting is inspired by Carnevale, understood as a celebration of life and affirmation of "Black" and Caribbean culture in the world, and represents that mixture of different traditions and cultures that find their greatest expression in these celebrations.
